Description
The Heat Pump Service Technician plays an integral role in maintaining thermal systems installed across ReVision Energy territories. The Heat Pump Service Technician is accountable for safe, consistent and efficient troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of air source heat pumps systems. Additionally, Heat Pump Service Technicians are responsible for regular cleaning and preventative maintenance of heat pumps for our customers.
The Heat Pump Service Technician reports to the Residential Service Manager in their respective territory. This role is field based, primarily working solo.
Responsibilities
•Respond to thermal service calls individually or with support
•Provide regular routine maintenance cleanings of air source heat pumps
•Diagnose, troubleshoot, communicate with tech support, and complete repairs
•Clearly communicate with customers to identify issues, provide context and a path forward for resolution
•Update internal service records in CRM, including photo documentation and information daily
•Gather all information needed to apply for manufacturer warranty claims
•Provide support to fellow team members regarding service needs
•Ensure general site preparation and cleanup is conducted
Requirements
•HVAC experience, specifically with Mitsubishi Air Source Heat Pumps
•Excellent problem solving skills
•Experience working with tools hand and power tools
•Comfortably able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and work in crawl spaces in all weather conditions
•Highly organized with ability to multi-task and set priorities
•Valid driver's license and clean driving record
•Ability to drive and sit stationary for long periods of time
•Capacity to work cohesively in a team and ability to foster a positive team environment, as well self-motivated
•Ability to effectively coordinate and communicate with others (customers and co-workers)
•Ability to succeed in a fast paced community environment
•Safety conscious with comfort in enforcing safety rules with everyone; including supervisors, customers, and co-workers
•Ability to produce significant output with minimal waste
•Flexible with ability to quickly change priorities
•Proactive, bringing new ideas to process and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
•Heat pump, plumbing, electrical, or solar thermal systems experience
•Comfort working on a roof
•Other manufacturer certification/training
