Job Summary

The Health Physics’ team at North Anna Power Station plays an essential role in the safe operation of the site by protecting people and their environment from potential radiation hazards. The Health Physics Technician 1 is the entry-level role within the team and is the first step to a professional career in the field of radiation protection.

Participates primarily in classroom training learning the basic concepts of radiological protection.

Education Requirements

Required degree (equivalence not accepted in lieu of degree):

High School Diploma or GED

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Must obtain and maintain required ERO/SERO qualifications

Working Conditions

Office Work Environment 76 -100%

Radiation Up to 25%

Travel Up to 25%

Typically works in a classroom.
