GENERAL SUMMARY
Reports to the Radiological Planning Group and is responsible for providing technical support in radiological planning. Works independently and with minimal supervision to perform research, investigations, analyses, evaluations, and reviews of radiation protection activities, programs, and procedures. The position supports the station work planning process to complete the radiological aspects of the task planning activities.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a science related field and a minimum of five years of experience in radiation protection either as a Health Physics Technician, RP Supervisor or RP professional staff position.
OR
An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Health Physics and a minimum of 7 years of experience in radiation protection either as a Health Physics Technician, RP Supervisor or RP professional staff position.
OR
A high school diploma or GED and a minimum of nine years of experience in radiation protection either as a Health Physics Technician, RP Supervisor or RP professional staff position. A technical training certificate in Health Physics will be considered year for year in exchange for required experience.
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
