Since our start in 2010, Property Pros Land Management, LLC has become the premier Landscape Design and Build firm in the area, with a stellar reputation in the Indianapolis community. Based out of Fortville, Property Pros services all of central Indiana with their landscape maintenance and outdoor design needs. While directing 2-4 construction and hardscape teams, this position oversees the crews for multiple projects at a time, including the installation of paver patios pergolas, water features, retention walls, landscape lighting, outdoor kitchens, plants/trees, etc.
Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team at Property Pros Land Management, LLC. In this role, you will oversee landscape and hardscape projects from conception to completion, ensuring that each project meets our high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
•Providing all crews with the items and communications necessary to be successful with their projects. Listing the tools, equipment, and materials needed, as well as outlining a detailed description of the task with clear expectations of the time frame.
•Scheduling subcontractors, and managing subcontractor relationships. Overseeing jobsites for quality and efficiency, while maintaining a high level of communication between the production teams, subcontractors, and members of management.
•Handling and ordering up to 95% of all materials needed for projects, including inventory items.
•Monitoring job quality, including promptly and clearly communicating with the crews regarding any unacceptable aspects of the installation with a plan to resolve any issues.
Assisting with client communications, including but not limiting to following the Standards of
Process: Production Communications to Clients* to ensure that Fill-in-Friday emails are sent to our clients (copying the Landscape Designer, Director of Operations, HR Director, and President) with the necessary updates, project timelines, and pictures. Routinely communicating with clients to answer questions and assuring job satisfaction. Documenting any complaints in Aspire and relaying all information to the President.
•Occasionally working alongside the production teams to complete all assigned projects as scheduled. Aiding in the installation of paver patios pergolas, water features, retention walls, landscape lighting, outdoor kitchens, plants/trees, etc.
•Assisting with communicating daily update emails to the Leadership Team containing the completion goals for each crew, subcontractor timelines, employee late arrivals/absences, personnel updates, etc.
•Providing clear and prompt communication of any changes to operations standards and/or procedures, as they arise.
•Supporting the team in taking ownership of the facility, including delegating tasks to maintain cleanliness and organization, stocking necessary items, caring for the nursery to ensure no loss of plant life, etc.
•Maintaining an accurate count of inventoried items, including monthly audits of physical inventory and Aspire inventory reports.
Training and developing the team to follow the Property Pros Standards of Process* (planting and watering correctly, arriving back to the shop on time, loading the trucks in the evenings, completing the Daily Update worksheets, etc.).
•Supervising Crew Leaders and their Crew Members to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Working with the Human Resources Director to complete any necessary write-ups, termination documentation, and reviews. Communicating any necessary information regarding employees to the Human Resources Director, Director of Operations, and other members of management.
•Completing all necessary paperwork and tasks in Aspire. Scheduling jobs in Aspire and monitoring the team’s clock times to verify accurate clock in/out times.
•Leading weekly meetings with the President, including a review of projects/tasks, upcoming deadlines, and expectations.
•Aiding in snow removal, as called upon.
•Completing any other duties, as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience
•High school diploma or GED, required
•Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or management position, required
•Minimum of 2 years of experience constructing paver patios, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, and retention walls, required
•Minimum of 2 years of experience with specialized equipment (skid steer, excavator, etc.), required
•Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to read and write
•Self-motivated, with the ambition and willingness to take initiative
•Highly organized and able to follow processes
•Ability to operate trucks and trailers, as well as large non-CDL straight trucks and vans proficiently and safely
Licenses & Certifications
•Valid Driver’s License, required
•Commercial Driver’s License, preferred
•ICPI Certification, strongly preferred
