Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Chief Surveyor with our Goldstrike operation. The successful candidate is responsible for providing a high level of accurate surveying to the underground mining group and other teams through leading, training, and developing the underground survey team; performing survey projects as directed; and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
•Support operations through consistent and timely performance of the daily activities pertaining to the survey function, including the layout and maintenance of survey reference marks
•Ensure the regular review of mine survey processes and investigate, assess, and where appropriate, trial new methods or technology
•Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and calibration of survey equipment
•Reconcile weekly and monthly survey measures. The survey function is also be expected to work cross-functionally with operations and technical services to maintain visual aids to help communicate the short term mine plan and designs, through maintaining the various Deswik layers
•Manage and direct the activities of the surveying team, provide direction and coaching
•Ensure plans, budgets and schedules are sufficiently developed; management systems and processes are adequately applied; and personal attention is appropriately directed to ensure that important deadlines are met, and budget constraints are adhered to
Qualifications:
•Professional certification preferred (e.g., Registered Professional Land Surveyor or Authorized Mine Surveyor) required
•Expert proficiency in survey instruments, including total stations, drones, CMS, and C-ALS scanners required
Advanced skills in survey software: Deswik CAD, Leica Infinity, Move3, and StarNet
required
•Comprehensive knowledge of coordinate geometry (COGO) and least squares adjustments required
•Minimum of ten (10) years extensive surveying work experience, preferably in an underground mining environment preferred
