GIS Intern

SUMMARY:

Provides support to GIS on various projects and programs for Columbus Water Works (CWW). Performs varied technical work including data entry from as-built drawings, record drawings, and backlog information, customer service, and production of internal and external maps. May work with other departments in collecting/integrating data. Ensures all work is in accordance with the purpose and vision of CWW and Departmental goals. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by and under direct supervision of Geomatics Manager and general supervision of the GIS Specialists and the Vice President of Engineering. Work is reviewed for accuracy, results obtained, and consistency with policy through reports and conference.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Some upper-level course work in Computer Information Systems, Geomatics, Survey, Geography or related from an accredited college or university required.
