To install, operate and service geophysical surveying equipment, while collecting, compiling, and archiving related survey data. You will be required to fly in an aircraft, on a daily basis for lengthy periods of time, while operating the onboard survey equipment. The position involves working and living for extended periods of time in remote locations across Canada, U.S. and around the world.
Install, operate and service surveying equipment. Assist in the inspection, testing and adjustment of electronic components. Ensure that quality standards are maintained. Responsible for the continuous operations of electronic equipment. Responsible for the collection, compilation and processing of operational data, reading and interpreting colour coded data. Must be available to travel for extended periods of time, with little notice.
· Ability to work effectively with others in close quarters for extended periods of time
· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
· Proficiency in basic mathematics and unit conversion
· Heavy lifting of items over 40 kg
· Sitting in confined aircraft spaces for extended periods
· Working on feet for many hours per day
