The General Maintenance Technician / Scaffolder is responsible for performing general repairs and preventative maintenance activities to utility systems, buildings, and associated equipment.
- Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance activities on utility systems, buildings, and equipment as required.
- Perform mechanical bolt-up of process pipe spools and valves on a regular basis. Must be familiar with the use of various pneumatic, electric and hand tools.
- Able to understand, develop and implement energy isolations on mechanical piping and electrical equipment. The ability to read P&ID and electrical schematics is preferred.
- Monitor fluid inventories and complete fluid transfers for lube oil, process chemicals, and methanol.
- Provide rigging support for maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspection and maintenance activities.
- Conducts production tests using established procedures.
- May operate production and injection equipment.
- Witness purchasers’ gauges and tests to ensure accuracy of run tickets.
- Conducts SSV (surface safety valve) testing with State of Alaska representative.
- Responsible for operating, monitoring, testing, and maintaining process equipment and safety devices.
- Coordinates work activity with the Facility Control Room Operator and all other areas of interface.
- Monitors the performance of wells and production equipment to maximize recovery.
- Performs daily operational check of assigned wells and production facilities with minimal supervision.
- Prepares, maintains, and submits daily reports.
- Records daily gas and/or liquid volume, well pressure, volume of chemicals used.
- Assist with refueling of equipment / vehicles as required.
- Inspect and repair mechanical problems as required.
- Prepare and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Make recommendations to modify or replace equipment.
- Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and the general work area.
- Perform housekeeping duties and manual snow removal daily.
- Actively participate in client led safety programs and meetings.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
- Current valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
