Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Purpose of Position:
Repair and maintain all equipment associated with camp facility.
Educational Requirements:
•High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience and Background:
•Performs all tasks safely and in a timely manner.
•Must have a minimum of five (5) years industrial maintenance experience (training may be substituted for experience on a case by case basis), preferably in a hotel environment.
•Extensive knowledge and skills to perform preventative and predictive maintenance and repairs on: hotel/kitchen, electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilation and mechanical equipment.
•Must be able to interpret and understand blueprints, schematics, have good math and carpentry skills.
•Must have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, CMMS).
•Team player and excellent customer service skills.
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; both oral and written and follow instructions.
Certificates, Licenses and Requirements:
•Must be licensed in ONE of the following disciplines - electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry
•Valid Driver License that meets ICE Services insurance criteria.
•Forklift training preferred
•North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card preferred, not required
•HVAC training – preferred, not required
•Refrigeration training – preferred, not required
•Previous CMMS experience – preferred, not required
•Pass pre-hire drug test, breath alcohol test, occupational fitness test, background check and computer-based testing.
•Rotational schedule of at least 11.50 hours per day for a minimum of 21 days consecutively as required.
•Ability to lift & carry 50 pounds on regular basis, routine walking, standing, bending. There is a lack of immediate access to critical medical services, as well as urban community services.
