Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Gas Station Attendant/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail or grocery store settings. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, helping to enhance customer interactions and team leadership.
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales and handle cash transactions
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries or recommendations
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and merchandising products effectively
- Conduct product demos when applicable to promote sales of specific items
- Upsell products to increase store revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, including cleaning counters, shelves, and restrooms
- Handle cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, concerns, or complaints professionally
- Supervise or assist in supervising other team members as needed, ensuring smooth store operations
- Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store, or similar environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Strong communication skills with phone etiquette proficiency
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customers effectively
- Experience in supervising or leading a team is a plus but not required
- Ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance sales opportunities
- Friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
