As a fracking chemical technician you will work with the fluids and additives used in the fracturing process. Technicians are involved in the mixing, testing, and management of chemicals used to facilitate the extraction of natural gas and oil from shale formations.
Responsibilities:
•Conduct chemical Injection in flow line including calculation rate and flow of the injected chemical to ensure they meet specific PPM requirements and safety standards.
•Handle the storage, delivery, and disposal of chemicals used in the process adherent to strict safety protocols.
•Assist in troubleshooting issues related to fluid injection.
•Documenting chemical inventories, and other relevant information
Qualifications and Education:
•High School Diploma preferred.
•Experience in chemical handling valued.
•The ability to interpret data, identify trends, and solve problems.
•Certifications in areas like hazardous materials handling and chemical safety can be beneficial.

Supervisory Responsibility:
•This position does not directly supervisor any other position.
Physical Requirements:
•May spend extended hours working inside and outside in all weather conditions, and in awkward body positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain.
•Required to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and to adjust heavy objects.
•The position will come in contact with sharp, hot, and cold equipment, and parts.
•Sensory demands include exposure to the smells associated with industrial chemical operations, exposure to the sounds associated with powered tools and industrial equipment.
Must have the ability to safely climb ladders, and work at elevation from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs, or platforms, and the ability to work in confined spaces
•While performing the job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle or fell, and reach with hands and arms.
