Operates one (1) or more types of chipping, grinding and cutting equipment in removing undesirable projections or surplus metal (fins, burrs, gates and risers) from sand castings.
Ø Operate band saw, abrasive saw, sand grinder, belt grinder and portable pneumatic grinding tools
Ø Use of a variety of hand tools including hammers, cold chisels and files
Ø May also require the operation and/or loading of the blast cleaning machine
Ø Report production quantities and items for each work order
Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned
High School diploma or GED; experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Math, some computer and communication skills are necessary. Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Physical work includes:

Ø Lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis floor to shoulder
Ø Lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to shoulder
Ø Carry up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis less than 25 feet
Ø Push/pull up to 30 lb. molds waist to chest level to/from the grinding wheel on a frequent basis
