Forklift Operator

Essential Functions:

Load and unload trucks operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts

- Receives and unpacks materials and supplies

- Operates forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials

- Supply plant with needed materials using the forklift

- ability to work under general supervision in a shop environment

- This position could involve a wide variety of job conditions and the possibility of off-hour responsibilities for plant facilities, which are unique to the facilities maintenance function.

- Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner

- Understand and follow oral and written instructions

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments and workers

- Must adhere to company policies and procedures

- Performs other functions/duties as required

Essential Requirements:

- High School education (GED)

- 2-3 years experience in the field or in a related area

- Basic computer skills, and/or other required software

Preferred Skills:

- Must have basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

- Clean motor vehicle records

- Sharp attention to details

- Excellent work ethics

- Must be able to keep clean and orderly area and the ability to assist in the inventory of tools and supplies
