Foreman - CDL Class B Required Minimum
REPORTS TO: Superintendent, Operations Manager, Asst. General Manager, and General Manager
Primary Purpose:
Responsible for supervising and performing a full range tasks required for industrial service operations including but not limited to tank cleaning, manual remediation services, spill cleanup, industrial cleaning, etc. in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions•Monitor and enforce compliance with DOT, OSHA, IPC safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear.
•Establish specific decontamination stations, ensure proper levels of person protection and conduct safety meetings prior to beginning daily operations and notify management of any issues or concerns.
•Effectively manage all phases of assigned on-site projects including resource scheduling and supervision, communicating with the client, leading and instructing subordinates.
•Perform a variety of project related administrative tasks including but not limited to maintaining daily paperwork and activity logs ensuring all activity is properly documented.
•Coordinate purchases with management as required.
•Safely drive and operate heavy equipment including super vacuum trucks and routinely used tools and equipment to include but not limited to pressure washers, generators, drills, air hammers/jacks, vacuum hoses, etc. for cleanup operations.
•Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
•Perform physical labor associated with cleanup activities, sample collection, waste removal, and other remediation services.
•Ensure that all equipment is maintained, repaired and in maximum operation condition.
•Warehouse maintenance, stock supplies, building maintenance
•Complete required paperwork, forms, and records as needed
Minimum Requirements
•Must have a current and valid minimum Class B CDL driver’s license with all required tanker and airbrake endorsements
•Must have a current and valid DOT medical card
•Submit to and pass pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, random, and post-accident drug testing
•Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments
•Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.
•Must be able to train technicians on company operating and safety procedures
•Must demonstrate general knowledge of operations and ability to safely operate assigned equipment
•High school diploma or GED preferred
Position Level Requirements: FOREMAN
•Supervises small project with crews of 1-10 personnel
•Demonstrates safety as a priority, communicates to team; can perform all safety-related job requirements; promotes near miss reporting
•Generally, has 1-year or more experience supervising crews and/or equivalent level of responsibility
General Expectations
•Must work on an on-call basis – available 24/7 via cell phone – answering phone when called for work
•Must have operable cell phone and voicemail box that is set-up and can receive messages at all times.
•Must have a flexible schedule:
•Long hours, daylight and nighttime work, overnight stays, weekend work, and out of town travel will be required.
•Employees will be scheduled with as much advanced notice as possible, but short notice will sometimes be unavoidable.
•Must follow company policy on respirator use and comply with requirement to be clean shaven in all facial area(s) that seal to the respirator face piece. Applies on a per job basis where respirators are required per company and OSHA safety standards.
•Wear company provided uniform, and don required PPE at all times while on the job.
•Bring your own lunch and drink every day (water will be provided by company).
Physical Demands
•Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, run, climb, squat, and kneel as a part of daily job functions.
•Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required tasks
•Must be capable of lifting 100lbs. or more with assistance
Working Conditions
•Outdoor work including work in inclement weather conditions is required including heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity, etc.
•Maybe exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration
•Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by established company safety standards, including the use of a respirator.
•Must be able and willing to enter and work in confined and dark spaces.

•Hourly Position – per graduated pay scale
