Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of various types of flooring materials in residential and commercial settings. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of flooring techniques, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
•
Install a variety of flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet according to specifications.
•
Prepare surfaces for installation by buffing, caulking, and ensuring proper leveling.
•
Perform water damage restoration as needed to ensure a solid foundation for new flooring.
•
Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fitting flooring materials.
•
Conduct drywall repairs when necessary to prepare areas for flooring installation.
•
Estimate material requirements and project timelines accurately to ensure efficient workflow.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the installation process.
Skills
•
Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics related to flooring layouts.
•
Experience in buffing techniques for surface preparation prior to installation.
•
Strong knowledge of various flooring installation methods and materials.
•
Familiarity with caulking techniques for sealing edges and joints effectively.
•
Ability to perform water damage restoration tasks as required.
•
Competence in using both power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
•
Understanding of drywall repair processes related to flooring projects.
•
Skills in construction estimating to provide accurate assessments of project needs.
