Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various floor surfaces in commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of floor care techniques, including buffing and carpet cleaning, to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all building occupants.

Duties

•

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.

•

Execute specialized floor care tasks such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

•

Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to remove stains and dirt effectively.

•

Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly after use.

•

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.

•

Maintain an organized work area and ensure compliance with environmental services standards.

•

Collaborate with custodial staff to support overall facility cleanliness and hygiene.

Skills

•

Proven experience 3-5 years in commercial cleaning with a focus on floor care.

•

Knowledge of custodial practices, including the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

•

Proficiency in buffing techniques and carpet cleaning methods.

•

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing improvement or additional care.

•

Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

•

Commitment to maintaining safety standards while performing duties.
