- Under the direction of the Material Supervisor and Leads, the Material Handler loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.

- Unload incoming shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies
- Verify items against packing slips or purchase orders
- Record received inventory in the system
- Label and store materials in designated areas
- Rotate stock (FIFO/LIFO systems)
- Ensure materials are stored safely and accessible
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas
- Transport raw materials, parts, or finished goods within a facility
- Supply materials to production lines or workstations
- Pick and stage items for outgoing shipments
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or conveyor systems
- Report on discrepancies or low stock levels
- Use inventory management systems (e.g., WMS or ERP software)
- Tag, barcode, or otherwise identify inventory
- Package products for shipment
- Label and document outgoing shipments
- Load trucks or containers safely and efficiently & coordinate with logistics
- Inspect and maintain material handling equipment
- Follow safety protocols (e.g., lifting procedures, PPE)
- Report on unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions
- Comply with OSHA or workplace safety standards
- Documentation and Communication
- Fill out logs, reports, or digital forms
- Communicate with supervisors or departments about material needs
- Assist with tracking and tracing of shipments or materials
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience in a forward-thinking manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Must have some knowledge of how to operate software programs like spreadsheets and word processing.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must possess the ability to read and understand bills of materials and differentiate between parts that are similar in nature.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with company personnel and customers.
- Must be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have regular attendance on the job.
- Must be bondable.
- Must be able to operate and certify for an industrial forklift truck10k.
