Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team at First Fuel and Propane. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operations. Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting our mission to deliver quality fuel services to our customers. Any major transmission/engine repairs are generally not done in house.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles including trucks and heavy equipment.

- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.

- Conduct brake repairs, air brake inspections, and change tires along with general monthly truck inspections.

- Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or maintenance tasks.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing maintenance duties.

- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with fleet or heavy equipment experience.

- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, and engines.

- Ability to operate forklifts and heavy machinery safely.

- Familiarity with CDL truck machinery is a plus but not required.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
