Great Lakes Petroleum is seeking a Fleet Manager to manage all day-to-day maintenance aspects of our Fleet. The Fleet Manager will lead and manage the Fleet program for all facilities.
- Maintains a safe and secure work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing company standards, and policies as well as other legal regulations (DOT, OSHA, DOL)
- Responsible for the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of fuel trucks and other support vehicles to ensure operational efficiency
- Involved in strategic planning including the management of the department’s budget
- Reviews/processes purchase requisitions for parts and supplies; reviews vendor bid responses for tools, equipment, parts, and services
- Ensures all contractual requirements are achieved
- Assists in the recruitment of qualified Mechanics and Drivers
- Demonstrates a self-directed approach to completing work duties
- Keeps vehicle licensure and registration up to date
- Conducts reviews of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations

- Comprehensive knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of large-scale operations
- Comprehensive knowledge of business practices applicable to warehouse management
- Ability to plan and supervise the work of others
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all customers
- Must be able to properly prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments
- Frequent overnight travel is expected
