Flatbed Driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to tractor-trailer, refrigerated trailer, flatbed, and tanker operations. This position involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the freight.

Responsibilities

- Operate commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers for the transportation of goods.

- Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes driven, and vehicle maintenance logs.

- Follow designated routes while being adaptable to changes in delivery schedules as needed.

- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered during transport.

Experience

- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).

- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.

- Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar vehicles is a plus.

- Prior experience as a delivery driver or in freight handling is advantageous.

- Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment is beneficial.
