American Stainless Corporation is a specialty metals distributor located in Buffalo, NY. We supply raw materials (stainless steel, aluminum, brass and other specialty metals) to a number of different industries. We are a small, privately held corporation, that thrives on bringing quality products and excellent service to meet and exceed our customers' needs.

American Stainless Corporation has an opening for a Route Delivery Driver. We are looking for a hardworking person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-time and accurate delivery of products and maintaining a clean, safe truck at all times. Additionally, this person will also assist in the warehouse on days they are not needed on the road. From our location in Buffalo, New York, our flatbeds service customers from Syracuse, New York through Northwest Pennsylvania, and into Northeast Ohio.

The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work both independently as well as part of a team and will have experience driving commercial vehicles.

- Local routes, home daily

- Monday to Friday

- Early starts (7:00am)

- Paid Hourly, OT as needed based on daily load size

- Paid Weekly

- Eligible for Quarterly Profit-Sharing program and year-end bonuses!!

Driver Responsibilities include:

- Loading/re-arranging material on flatbed trucks as necessary.

- Pre-trip paperwork including load manifest and DVIR/truck safety checklist.

- Pre-trip inspection of cargo and truck so all materials are delivered safely and within regulatory compliance.

- Ensure cargo is properly secured and not damaged prior to leaving facility.

- Delivery of product to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

- Ensure truck is kept clean and in good working condition.

- Assist in the warehouse as needed: Order picking, inventory, loading/unloading trucks.

Qualifications:

- Excellent attendance

- Must have a valid driver's license.

- Does NOT require a CDL license.

- Experience with ELD's preferred, but not required

- Flatbed experience preferred, but not required

- Must have a clean driving record.

- Must be able to pass DOT physical and a pre-employment drug screen.

- Forklift experience a plus.

- Knowledge of basic math skills, including fractions and decimals, essential.
