Position Overview:

We are currently hiring a Finisher/Painter with strong expertise in bodywork, Bondo application, and surface preparation for a high-volume commercial door and frame manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for prepping, repairing, and finishing metal doors and frames to meet precise specifications and aesthetic standards.

The ideal candidate is highly reliable, with a strong work ethic, excellent attendance, and a keen eye for detail. Experience working with Bondo and other fillers on metal surfaces is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare commercial metal doors and frames for painting by sanding, grinding, and filling dents, welds, or surface imperfections.

- Apply Bondo and similar fillers to ensure a smooth, uniform surface ready for priming and painting.

- Perform precision surface shaping, sanding, and feathering to meet quality and finish standards.

- Mix, match, and apply industrial primer using spray equipment.

- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and correct any imperfections before final delivery.

- Maintain tools, spray equipment, and workstations in clean, working order.

- Follow all company safety procedures and wear proper PPE.

Requirements:

- Minimum [1] years of experience in industrial or manufacturing painting, preferably working with metal products.

- Strong experience with Bondo and metal surface repair is required.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality work.

- Proven track record of reliability and consistent attendance – punctuality is a must.

- Ability to read work orders and follow instructions with minimal supervision.

- Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and work in a production setting for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in the commercial door and frame industry.

- Familiarity with steel or hollow metal door finishing standards.

- Ability to operate grinders, sanders, and other surface preparation tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
