Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Jewelry Quality Control and Plating Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of jewelry quality assurance processes and expertise in rhodium and gold plating. You will play a key role in ensuring our jewelry meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and finish, contributing to the exceptional quality that defines our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
•Inspect finished jewelry for craftsmanship, structural integrity, and adherence to design specifications.
•Verify gemstone settings, polish quality, and surface finishes to meet company standards.
•Identify defects or inconsistencies and collaborate with relevant departments for corrections.
•Perform rhodium plating, gold plating, and other finishing processes on jewelry with precision and care.
•Maintain plating equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safe operation.
•Monitor the plating process to achieve consistent and flawless results, including correct thickness and finish.
•Regularly clean and maintain plating tanks, filters, and tools to ensure optimal performance.
•Keep track of chemicals and materials, ensuring inventory levels are adequate.
•Work closely with production, design, and polishing teams to address quality concerns and optimize processes.
•Provide feedback on designs or production methods that could impact quality or plating efficiency.
•Follow safety and environmental guidelines for handling plating chemicals and equipment.
•Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to jewelry manufacturing and plating.
Qualifications:
•Proven experience in jewelry quality control and plating, preferably with rhodium and gold.
•Deep understanding of jewelry production processes, materials, and finishes.
•Proficiency in operating plating equipment and maintaining plating solutions.
•Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
•Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in quality and plating processes.
•Strong organizational and time-management skills.
•Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a factory environment.
Preferred Skills:
•Experience with other jewelry finishes, such as antique plating or two-tone finishes.
•Strong communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
