The
Senior Manager, FP&A, is responsible for financial modelling and reporting for the business. As the originator and custodian of financial modelling, your work will support business development, project execution and operations providing sensitivity analysis, routine and ad hoc reporting as required. Your success is dependent upon your expertise and your ability to manage and organize data to produce financial results in a systematic and repeatable manner, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of business reporting. You will work closely with business development, construction, operations, accounting and treasury as required. This is a key role which will help enable the next phase of our growth.

As the
Senior Manager, FP&A,you will have overall responsibility for the origination and standardization of all existing and new financial business models, including project-level businesses, partnerships and consolidated business modelling. You will use these models to generate standardized reporting for the business. Your work will be used to support project financing, scenario analysis, commercial optimization, routine and ad hoc reporting.
Reporting to the VP, Finance, there will be significant involvement with the executive leadership as required, supporting capitalization, debt financing, valuations, commercial contracting, etc. As a key member of the Finance team, your success will be dependent upon your ability to work well with others on the Finance team including the Controller, Treasury, AR and AP.
In addition to your modelling and financial reporting expertise, you must have good listening and communication skills and be able to share the results of your work succinctly and to various audiences, including company executives, partners, financial institutions and stakeholders.
This role is expected to evolve with the growth of the business.
• Develop standardized financial business models for all development projects.
• Model functionality must include standardization for model assumptions, updates and input variables, enabling data to flow through a model to produce a standardized set of output variables, enabling real-time sensitivities of project financial metrics such as earnings, FCF, NPV, IRR, etc.
• Models will be used for all project phases, including development, construction, and operations to support financing and partnership developments, project sell-downs, decommissioning, etc.
• Establish a consolidated model which incorporates all affiliate businesses in the construction phase and operations phase together with partnerships, financing, etc., to produce a monthly consolidated business view at the Envest Holdco level.
• Working with business development staff, the technical team, finance and the executive, collect data as required for project model input changes and run revised model outputs and various sensitivities to support financing, construction and offtake negotiations as required.
• Responsible for collecting, maintaining and organizing all project-level data and assumption changes for each active project in development.
• Maintain an up-to-date business model for all active development projects, including all the latest data collected and assumption changes,
• Publish a monthly development project financial model for each active development project, including standardized naming convention enabling tracking of the latest revision.
• Working with the Project Execution team, develop a project-level budget from the Management and Board-approved Development model to be used as the baseline budget for project execution.
• Working with the Project Execution team, provide monthly project model financial updates showing actualized cost vs. budget and the impacts of the latest project forecast on the project economic metrics, including FCF, NPV, IRR, etc.
• Working with the Finance team, and Project Execution team, produce monthly construction project reporting against approved capex.
• Provide sensitivity analysis against the project on an ad hoc basis as required.
• Provide project-level partnership economics and distributable cash forecast as part of the monthly project execution reporting process.
• Working with Operations staff, prepare annual budgets (pre- and post- tax earnings, FCF and capex) and 3-year outlook for all operating businesses as required.
• Working with Operations, Accounting and Engineering as required, prepare a standardized monthly financial results report with a full-year forecast of earnings report for all individual operating businesses on a monthly internal reporting cycle.
• On an annual basis, update all long-term models (original board-approved project models) with annual actualized data to produce an annualized update of actual financial performance vs. the original approved Notice to Proceed (NTP) construction model.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly operational financial business reporting with executive leadership, partners and applicable operations staff as required.
• Develop multi-year capital planning frameworks in alignment with company strategy.
• Collaborate with the Finance team to support audit, funding, and reporting requirements.
• On a monthly cadence, prepare an updated consolidated business model view of Envest Holdco based on the latest operational project-level company model updates including construction and development spend.
• Ensure that all project-level company models are integrated with the consolidated model view for mostly automatic consolidated updates.
• Produce a monthly view of cash flow at Envest Holdco level.
• Support funding, audits and other reporting as required.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Engineering, with preference given to candidates having a CFA, CPA or MBA designation.
· 8-10 years of FP&A plus expert modelling experience, preferably in the renewable energy development and or operations space.
· Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop suitable KPIs and continuous improvements.
· A strong individual contributor with leadership skills to enable the growth of the department with the growth of the business.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proficiency with ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite, or equivalent), Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
· Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize initiatives, and drive results in a dynamic environment.
