Position Overview:
American Anthracite is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional to support our budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role plays a crucial part in enabling the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial planning, reporting, and analysis within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
•Support the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
•Collaborate with department leaders to validate financial assumptions and monitor performance.
•Prepare internal financial reports, variance analyses, and key performance dashboards.
•Conduct cost analyses, track margins, and model scenarios to support informed decision-making.
•Assist with month-end close processes
•Back up other accounting and finance functions as needed.
•Provide financial insights to support capital planning, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives.
•Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the planning and reporting process.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
•Minimum of two (2) years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a similar financial role.
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP and reporting tools preferred.
•Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
