A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co. is a major manufacturer of water works valves and fittings, high-pressure gas valves, and residential and commercial water pumping systems. The company is privately owned and has a history of quality products since its founding in 1856.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include any combination of the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Accounts Receivable duties: to include applying incoming cash to correct customer accounts, making collection calls on past due payments, and responding to customer inquiries.
Cash management duties: to include daily roll forwards, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Accounts Payable duties: to include electronic approval workflow management and processing of invoices and payments.

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and have successfully completed Intermediate Accounting. Must demonstrate outstanding problem solving, quantitative, analytical and communication skills.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
