Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Utility Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the operation process, ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and that products meet quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of processing and distribution of sour natural gas.
Responsibilities
•Operating and Monitoring: Monitoring and controlling the gas processing equipment, including compressors, scrubbers, evaporators, and refrigeration equipment to regulate gas flow and maintain specified pressures. This involves reading gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure proper functioning and adjusting controls as needed.
•Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Performing routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery. This includes inspecting production equipment, diagnosing malfunctions, and initiating necessary repairs.
•Testing and Quality Control: Testing gas, chemicals, and air during processing to assess factors such as purity and moisture content, and to detect quality problems or gas or chemical leaks.
•Documentation and Reporting: Recording operational and production data, analyzing test results, and completing filling logs and other plant reports.
•Safety and Compliance: Operating within strict safety guidelines and procedures, particularly regarding H₂S exposure. This involves using proper gas detection equipment, implementing proper ventilation, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhering to established emergency procedures.
•Collaboration: Collaborating with other operators, maintenance crews, and engineers to solve problems and optimize plant performance.

•Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to perform preventive and routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and use hand tools.
•Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously monitor equipment, follow instructions, and identify potential problems or safety risks.
