Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Red Deer, AB for a Field Service Technician. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing natural gas compression equipment, including performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate service records, troubleshooting engine and compressor performance, and ensuring the proper operation of gas compressors and related components. Additional tasks include communicating with clients, providing onsite technical support, and following safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing gas compressors and engines.
- Skills in performing preventive maintenance, scheduling repairs, and handling emergency service calls.
- Abilities in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of OEM equipment, including Caterpillar, Waukesha, Ariel, or Sullair.
- Organizational skills for keeping accurate service records and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and explain technical issues or solutions.
- Relevant certifications such as Journeyperson or Red Seal certification in a mechanical trade or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varying field conditions.
- A valid driver’s license and the physical capability to perform job-related tasks.
