Field Operator– St Mary’s, PA

National Fuel has an immediate, full-time opening for a Field Operator/Compressor Operator in the Operations department at our Elk Service Center location in St Mary’s, PA. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Repairs and maintains gas well equipment and pipeline systems, service lines, house regulators and meters

- Reading meters, line locating, patrolling, mowing, general maintenance and emergency response

- Keep accurate documentation of all necessary operating records

- Follow all operating protocols, inspection requirements, maintenance tasks, and safety procedures to ensure safe and reliable operation of facilities

- Reporting to and assisting other regional locations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Valid driver’s license

- Demonstrated mechanical ability

- Excellent customer service/communication skills

- Basic computer knowledge and literacy is required. Ability to read, legibly prepare written documentation and have the ability to accurately interpret and analyze written information

- The physical capability to work outdoors in all types of weather also in and around hazards and difficult to reach areas

- Available to work Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm

- Candidates must live within a reasonable commute to the Elk Service Center located at 2093 State Street, St. Mary’s PA 15857, or be willing to relocate.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in plumbing, mechanical troubleshooting and gas well tending

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This is a position within the Company’s collective bargaining unit with a starting rate of pay of $31.48/hour, after 6 months $32.48/hour, after 1 year $33.48/hour.
