- The Field O&M Representative will support the ongoing operation and maintenance of utility-scale renewable energy projects for the North America division. This role is responsible for site monitoring, maintenance coordination, and technical troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance and minimal downtime. The position requires hands-on field work, collaboration with EPCs and headquarters, and occasional warehouse support. This position requires 50% travel, and candidate must be based in the Houston Area.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and verify system performance.
- Monitor daily operations and report key performance indicators.
- Communicate with EPCs, headquarters, and other stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
- Schedule and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting for equipment malfunctions and inefficiencies.
- File pre-claims and document all site activities accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with federal, state, local, and internal safety policies.
- Participate in safety training, switching/tagging procedures, and emergency response planning.
- Support environmental compliance requirements and maintain operational permits and documentation.
- Assist warehouse operations, including material handling and logistics coordination.
- Support operations tasks such as Pull-Out Testing (POT) documentation and reporting.
- Participate in cross-training within the O&M team.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, contractors, and service providers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders.
- 0–2 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Spanish language skills.
- Experience with renewable energy, solar operations, or utility-scale projects.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, switching/tagging processes, and regulatory compliance.
- This position requires 50% travel and must be based in the Houston Area.
