The Field Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing projects in a safe manner. It requires travel to field locations, both domestically and internationally, to install, commission, troubleshoot and pull Subsurface Compressor Systems (SCSs). It requires a willingness to relocate internationally when necessary.
Physical Demands/Travel:
Physical and mental activities. Domestic and international travel up to ~70% of the time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Lead field operations during SCS installations, pulls, troubleshooting and commissioning
•Perform detailed job planning, risk assessment and safety requirements
•Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, communication and control system issues
•Oversee site safety, equipment preparation and execution of work plans
•Generate technical documentation: pre-job plans, post-job reports and field logs
•Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and operations teams
•Assist in procedure development, equipment trials and field tests
•Provide client interface, third party vendors and on-site decision-making
•Mentor and support junior technicians or contractors
Skills and Experience Sought:
•Engineering degree (mechanical/electrical/petroleum)
•1-2 years of oil and gas experience is preferred
•Experience with mechanical and electrical work is a plus
•Strong written and oral communication skills
