Fiber Splicer (Experience Required)

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced & skilled Splicer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems & low voltage applications, with the ability to work in various environments, including elevated positions & in all weather conditions.

Duties

- Perform splicing, testing, & repair of fiber optic to ensure optimal connectivity.

- Read & interpret network installation blueprints & splice schedules

- Build & maintain network infrastructure, including WAN systems.

- Perform end-to-end fiber tests with OTDRs, power meters, & light sources.

- Conduct field service tasks which may involve climbing ladders or poles to access equipment.

- Utilize hand tools & electrical equipment safely & efficiently.

- Troubleshoot & resolve issues related to network connectivity.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.

Experience

- Proven experience in splicing or related fields is required.

- Familiarity with telephone systems & low voltage wiring is advantageous.

- Experience working with network infrastructure & WAN technologies.

- Ability to operate bucket trucks & other elevated work platforms safely.

- Strong problem-solving skills & attention to detail are essential.3

Valid driver's license required and must be an insurable driver. No DUIs/OWIs within the previous 5 years.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
