About the Role: Installation Technicians perform fiber optic installations within a residential and business environment. Technicians will install new fiber drops from service poles to the premise. The technician needs to be familiar with wireless technologies such as, modems/routers, home wireless mesh systems, mobile devices, PC’s and similar equipment. Technician must be able to perform all work while adhering to established safety guidelines and procedures.
Requires frequent prolonged sitting, occasional prolonged standing, and frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and stretching, eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity, including but not limited to the ability to use office wireless communication and computer equipment, as well as all tools of the trade. Requires ability to occasionally lift and comfortably maneuver an extension ladder weighing up to 60 lbs pounds, ability to lift 20 pounds from floor to knuckle occasionally, and ability to lift 10 pounds from shoulder and above frequently. Requires crawling and maneuvering in crawlspaces, attics, basements, and similar confined areas and close quarters frequently. Will work in various weather conditions.
