At On Target, we are a fast-growing company that provides a variety of utility services such as power line, telecommunications, metering, and smart grid services throughout the Northeast. Relocation assistance is available.

This position is responsible for testing and splicing fiber optic cable including displaying and interpreting results for analyzing and documenting fiber optic links. The position requires reporting daily to a field office location in Maine.

The starting pay for this position is $25-$30/hr. DOE.

Your Responsibilities as a Fiber Optic Technician:

+ perform testing and splicing of fiber optic cable, + working on/around telecommunications lines and equipment (overhead and underground facilities), + installing fiber optic cable (overhead and underground), + conduct and/or assist with required job safety briefings, + assist in cost estimation for relevant projects, + operates tools, equipment and instruments of the trade and ensures required maintenance is performed, + read, interpret, and work from sketches, diagrams, and work plans.
