ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

Geoscientists in Unconventional require work at the field scale, focusing on high grading development inventory through 3D reservoir characterization. They deliver accurate subsurface descriptions and communicate key risks and uncertainties supporting business investment decisions. Unconventional geoscientists integrate and interpret geological and geophysical data to develop appraisal strategies, field scale development plans and execute drilling programs. Typical datasets for integration include seismic, logs, fluids, and core, which are to be used to build subsurface prediction models. The role requires collaboration with engineering colleagues on reservoir characterization, well planning, drilling execution and technology development.

This position will be based in Houston, TX.

Ability to integrate geoscience skills and knowledge, varied data sets, analogs and ideas to solve geological problems to support the business, independently. Provide sound judgment, timeliness and aptitude in application of geoscience tools and techniques; and, desire to maintain competitive advantage leveraging prior experiences.
