- Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related discipline

- At least 3 years of directly related experience

- Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.

- Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.

- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships, work collaboratively within a team environment.

- Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.

- Displays informal leadership characteristics.

You may have also acquired the following skills:

- Familiarity with the Pressurized Water Reactors and experienced with the plant system thermal-hydraulic and core response during transients.

- Experience using RELAP or similar code to simulate reactor system behavior during postulated accidents.

- Display positive and effective team interaction.

- Familiarity with the safety and licensing regulations required for US commercial Nuclear Power Plants.

- Possess a pro-active approach to problem identification and resolution.

As an Experienced NON-LOCA Safety Analysis Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:

- Performing new or revising existing non-LOCA accident analyses using a Framatome version of RELAP5.

- Evaluating and documenting the impact of plant and core design changes on existing NON-LOCA analyses.

- Contributing to model development activities in support of new fuel customers and transition to new methodologies.

- Contributing to the team's efforts in improving operating efficiency.

- Interfacing with other engineering teams to ensure successful customer delivery.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $83,000 - $113,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
