Events & Engagement Intern

Join the People Are Why team as an Events & Engagement Intern

and gain real-world experience in event planning, employee engagement. You'll work closely with a supportive and experienced team to help organize company events, handle ticketing and administrative tasks, and contribute to a positive and inclusive company culture. This is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of event coordination and employee engagement in a corporate setting.

- Help keep track of event tickets and respond to employee requests

- Answer emails and direct questions to the right team member

- Support planning for in-person and virtual events

- Help with event tasks like making invitations, setting schedules, coordinating vendors, and supporting post-event follow up

- Pitch in on projects that recognize employees and build company culture

- Gain hands-on experience in helping organize and improve how events are run.

- Assist the team with other tasks as needed

- Hybrid role with primarily weekday hours; only a couple of evenings or weekends required as needed (overtime eligible)

Required Skills:

- Positive attitude and excitement to learn

- Friendly and helpful – great with people!

- Good communication skills (writing and speaking)

- Flexible and able to handle tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Education and Experience:

- Some experience working in a fast-paced setting (school, job, or volunteer work counts!)

- Basic computer skills, especially Word and Excel

- Experience with SharePoint is a bonus, but not required

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Unfortunately, a current or future need for sponsorship is not supported or available for this position.

$31,200.00 - $62,400.00

- This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
