Remediation Group, Inc. (RGI) is a fully licensed Environmental, Restoration, Remediation & General Contracting firm located in the heart of Atlanta. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we are readily equipped to respond to Water or Fire Damage Emergency, Mold Removal, and Reconstruction needs.
Since 2002, our mission has been to prevent further damage from occurring to residential and commercial properties by putting a swift plan into motion and providing customers with a partner as they navigate through their loss.
We are looking for an experienced Estimator to partner with our business development and project management teams to deliver of best-in-class service to customers, properly evaluating sites and scoping work while working through any obstacles to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities:
•As needed, perform onsite property evaluations and develop scopes of work for reconstruction needed as a result of an insurance loss. Perform site visits as needed and effectively input measurements, sketch and detailed scope of work.
•Be able to take on a sales role and help sell clients on why they should choose RGI.
•Work to build solid relationships with RGI’s B2B clients, i.e. Property Manager, Facility Managers, HOA Board Members, etc.
•Identify the obstacles keeping RGI from signing up a client and/or being able to push a job into production. Then find a solution to the obstacle or an alternative path around the obstacles to contract the job and move it into production.
•When needed, communicate with team on complex projects that have hit a roadblock to see what workarounds are available.
•Exhaust all attempts resolving obstacles/roadblocks before determining if a job/lead is “dead.” If a job/lead dies, send out final communication as documentation that RGI is closing the file. Copy Sales Coordinating (SACO) team to ensure Dash files are closed correctly.
•Meet property manager (PM) on site prior to starting a property evaluation, offer PM and overview of what you will be doing while onsite, also, offer a post-evaluation meeting to update PM.
•Request & pull profit & loss (P&L) and open purchase order (PO) for desired projects.
•Give reports to upper management on profitability performance.
•Work with RGI and identify opportunities for personal growth to expand your industry knowledge so that you can provide RGI’s clients with valuable information and insights with confidence.
Estimating Responsibilities:
•Utilize Xactimate estimating software to create estimates that are interchangeable within the insurance claims process.
•Communicate clearly with insurance companies and adjusters to discuss/resolve questions on the estimate(s) and get to an agreed-to-figure with the insurance company.
•Identify & write supplements regularly and get approved by insurance adjuster.
•Identify & write change-orders regularly and communicate with client as needed to get approved and signed.
•Keep DASH, Condo Claim Calculator Google Sheet, Recon Sales and Ops tracker and other required data management systems and tools up to date with accurate versions of estimates and figures.
•Respond timely, wholly and accurately to co-workers & management who request/require information from you or your department (i.e. Requests from accounting/collections on updates to estimates/ supplements so that jobs can be billed)
•Respond to requests from SACO team regarding the status and last communication with prospective clients.
•Manage communications with Contract Coordinator or Estimating Coordinator daily to provide portal updates.
•Attend meetings (Company, client, adjuster, etc.) as scheduled by Sales/Admin team.
Required Skills
•5+ years of experience creating estimates for residential rebuild/restoration projects using Xactimate
•Experience collaborating with project managers, customers, and insurance adjusters to ensure projects are properly scoped as well as successfully completed and billed.
Preferred Skills
· Experience working in high-rise or mid-rise condominiums
· Experience using DASH or other restoration job management software
