Equipment Repair Technician

Performance Systems is looking for the right person to fill a Field Service Technician position. The right candidate will be willing to travel to various businesses and perform major and minor repairs on floor cleaning equipment while effectively communicating to the customer and service dispatch coordinator at the home office.

*Company Vehicle Provided *Drive Time Paid *Must Provide Own Tools

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Evaluate mechanical problems in floor cleaning equipment

- Estimate time and materials required to perform major repairs

- Follow customer's guidelines for repair requests within their budget

- Analyze engine performance and perform tune-ups as needed

- Perform routine maintenance and preventative care

- Maintain accurate & updated records

- Operate tools, equipment & machinery according to prescribed safety procedures

- Follow safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties

- Ensure vehicle, equipment and tools are in safe operating condition

- Correct any unsafe conditions or report to a supervisor immediately

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements:

- Previous mechanical experience including electrical & small engines

- Good Communication Skills, the ability to follow procedures & be organized

- Attentive to detail

- Self-Motivator

- Be familiar with iPad Platform & basic computer skills

- Own Tools

- Willing to travel

- Work evenings/weekends when emergency situations arise (very rare)

- Willing to work overtime if necessary

- Must be able to walk, bend, squat, twist, stoop and reach arms over head.

- Push, pull up to 350lbs (batteries)

- Lift up to 120 lbs

- Possess a Valid Driver's License

- Pass a background & drug test

Pay

- Starting pay $23-25 per hour based on experience - OVERTIME AVAILABLE
