Equipment Repair and Pressure Testing Shop Hand
The Equipment Repair and Pressure Testing shop hand is responsible for disassemble, clean, document, and assemble Pressure Control Equipment in accordance with manufacture technical manuals. The shop Hand must possess knowledge on maintenance and rebuilding skills for transportation trailers. Also, pressure testing experience and the ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
· Understand and adhere to all Canatex policies and procedures, furthermore, understand and adhere to any client’s policies and procedures;
· Trouble shoot, service and repair all pressure control equipment;
· Conduct routine maintenance on shop equipment in accordance with Canatex policies;
· Ensuring adequate stock levels for production requirements;
· Maintain a clean and orderly work environment;
· Ensuring the availability of all necessary materials and tools required to support he field work;
· Adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times;
· Other duties as assigned by the reporting Manager.
· Minimum of (3) one years’ experience in a shop environment.
· Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, calculate reliability and validity and correlations;
· Ability to mentor and willingness to learn and grow within Canatex.
· Ability to think quickly and apply problem solving skills to situations as they come up in the shop.
· Ability to work in a positive team environment;
· Ability to work with hand and power tools;
· Required to keep all applicable certifications up to date as required by Canatex’s Quality and HSE.
· Ability to champion a company safety culture.
· Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling (70 pounds).
· Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week;
· Exposure to high noise over 85 dba.
· Results from a pre-employment test must be deemed acceptable in accordance to Canatex’s policies.
· 5 years’ commercial/drivers abstract must be in compliance with Canatex’s guidelines.
· Must have the ability to pass a Federal background check.
· Preference will be given to candidates that reside in the immediate area of the position
