Job Description:

The North Charleston Sewer District is looking to add a Collection System Operator Position effective immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Performs preventive maintenance on the collection system including restoring pipe capacity by removing debris, sand, and grease from the main sewer.

- Performs corrective maintenance on the collection system including repairing and restoring service.

- Locates underground cable and utilities.

Qualifications:

- High School diploma;

- One (1) year of experience with multi-axle vehicles; or

- Equivalent education, training, and/or experience.

Licenses or Certifications:

- Valid South Carolina Class “A” commercial driver’s license w/tanker endorsement within 12 months of hire.

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday 6:30 am to 4:00 pm
