Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Engineer in Renewable Energy to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing renewable energy systems and solutions. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, project management skills, and a passion for sustainable energy technologies. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that contribute to a greener future.
Key Responsibilities:
Hydrogen Equipment Design & Integration
•Lead the specification, selection, and commissioning of equipment related to hydrogen production (e.g., electrolysis), purification, compression, and storage.
•Collaborate with process and product teams to integrate hydrogen systems into lab-scale and pilot-scale setups.
•Work with external equipment vendors to ensure performance, safety, and delivery timelines.
Hands-On Setup & Maintenance
•Oversee installation, calibration, and day-to-day operations of hydrogen-related equipment and gas systems.
•Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or process issues as they arise.
Process & Safety Documentation
•Draft and maintain SOPs, technical drawings, P&IDs, and maintenance logs.
•Ensure hydrogen handling protocols meet all relevant federal, state, and site-specific safety codes (OSHA, NFPA, etc.).
•Conduct safety reviews and hazard analyses related to hydrogen operations.
R&D & Cross-Team Support
•Support experimental work in hydrogen generation and utilization alongside R&D engineers.
•Contribute to system design reviews and continuous improvement efforts across equipment and processes.
Qualifications
- Required:
Education:
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
Experience:
•Solid technical knowledge of hydrogen production methods (e.g., PEM/AEM electrolysis), hydrogen storage and transport systems, and gas handling.
Language Skills:
•Fluent in both Chinese and English (spoken and written) to support bilingual communication and documentation.
- Preferred:
Technical Skills:
•Hands-on experience with hydrogen gas systems, safety interlocks, and high-pressure equipment.
•Experience with CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and basic instrumentation controls (PLC, sensors).
•Familiarity with U.S. hydrogen infrastructure regulations and permitting process.
Soft Skills:
•Strong attention to detail, safety-first mindset.
•Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
•Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
