Job Description:
Office and field work related to groundwater and surface water investigations in support of permitting and compliance efforts. These efforts include both conducting and facilitating the completion of the following:
•Environmental data collection for private water supplies including wells, springs, and ponds;
•Conducting well performance tests on private water wells;
•Conducting monitoring of groundwater monitoring wells/piezometers;
•Surface water (stream) monitoring for flow, water chemistry, observations, etc.;
•Surface water/stream restoration efforts;
•Construction monitoring and density testing for geotechnical purposes;
•Preparing necessary field documentation, reports, mapping exhibits, and permit applications as necessary;
•Communicating with clients, third parties, and regulatory agents as necessary;
•Evaluating, analyzing and interpreting technical data.
Successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
•3 to 5 Years of Experience with related job description tasks;
•BS in Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline;
•Desire and ability to obtain certifications such as GIT, PG, LRS, PWS, etc.
•Desire to coordinate and assist with field work for both groundwater and surface water data collection as necessary;
•Field experience related to groundwater and surface water monitoring and sampling techniques and protocols;
•Experience and desire to work with and coordinate entry-level staff to complete tasks as necessary;
•Ability to work in remote areas independently while carrying necessary field gear and walking uneven ground;
•Demonstrated ability to multi-task while organizing and implementing field work and sampling plans;
•Strong attention to detail with good judgment and problem-solving capabilities to address field circumstances encountered;
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe; and GPS data collection systems preferred;
•Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and deliver documents with a focus on QA/QC;
•Must possess a valid motor vehicle license and comply with the company drug screening policy.
