Job Details
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure company projects are in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Coordinate environmental permitting for company projects.
- Manage third party vendors for project permitting purposes.
- Develops and conducts environmental compliance training with company employees and contractors.
- Prepares and coordinates reports and registration information to appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Work closely with other company departments on preliminary project designs to ensure environmental compliance. This includes both office and field work.
- Coordinate between environmental permitting regulatory agencies and company personnel concerning construction designs.
- Provide regulatory interpretations for new and existing environmental regulations.
- Contract negotiations with third party vendors.
- Represent the company when communicating with federal, state, and local agencies.
- Work in a face-paced environment and take on multiple projects at the same time.
- 3-5 years relevant experience.
- Experience working with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
- Thorough knowledge of Stormwater Pollution Prevention and Erosion & Sediment Control permitting. Be able to read plan set and provide feedback.
- Endangered Species Act, Section 7 Formal/Informal Consultations.
- Section 404 and 401 Clean Water Act permitting.
- Section 106 National Historic Preservation Act consultations.
- Knowledge of environmental operation permits and regulations specific to the job location.
- Ability to work as a team to ensure environmental compliance.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Ability to facilitate an open exchange of ideas.
- Must be able to work with multiple teams to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to travel to various job sites and facilities in multiple states. Valid driver’s license required.
- Combination of office and field work, with some exposure to outdoor and operational environments.
- Must be willing to traverse pipeline right-of-ways in a variety of weather conditions.
- Minimum travel for work-related purposes is expected 50% of the time, which includes some overnight visits to locations and industry events.
- This is a full-time exempt salaried position.
