Purpose Of Role

Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, the Laborer will provide support to the Environmental department.

Roll Accountabilities

- Ability to learn how to safely operate heavy equipment.

- Use of a chainsaw.

- General field monitoring such as wells, springs, etc.

- General data input and reporting.

- Rain gage calibration/weather station maintenance.

- Other field support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications And Education

- High School diploma or GED.

- Ability to lift 50 lbs.

- Positive work ethic.

- Have reliable transportation to the field location.

- Possess a valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience reading maps, using handheld GPS, and working in the field.

- Completion of MSHA training.

- Experience using heavy machinery and towing a trailer.

The work environment will necessitate work near moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions such as hot and/or dry conditions. Work will be conducted in locations where noise, fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration may exist. Majority of work will be outside.

Employees may be expected to drive a company vehicle while performing the job. Employees must be able to perform the physical functions of operating a motor vehicle, including use of eyes, ears, arms, hands, legs, and feet. Employee must be able to prove that he/she has a current and valid driver's license.
