Environmental ,
Health, and Safety and (EHS) Manager at Trailblazer Energy Resources, LLC in Texas. The EHS Manager
is responsible for providing EHS support for both field and office operations. The EHS Manager will be expected to establish and maintain a company culture rooted in safety, stewardship and teamwork. In addition, the EHS manager will be responsible for all required training, safety and environmental regulatory filings.
- Direct and promote the Company in building and engaging in a proactive safety culture.
- Ensures that the HSE management system is in compliance with HSE policy, guidelines, applicable standards and instructions
- Support Company management in setting HSE objectives
- Managing the Company’s process for contractor audits and certifications related to the HSE Management System
- Support the internal HSE audit process and manage the process of closing out action items
- Manage the HSE team in the implementation of HSE policies and procedures
- Leading Root Cause Analyses and implementing new training/policies/procedures as needed
- Selection and application of HSE methods and tools to support the HSE management system
- Serve as HSE subject matter expert and provide information to management about HSE related performance, issues and status of the HSE management system regarding effectiveness and compliance
- Manage and review work site hazard assessments, identify unsafe acts/conditions or unsafe behaviors, provide support, guidance and recommendations for corrective action to management team
- Manage and create safety related documents, policies and procedures for Company in compliance with regulatory agencies and industry best practices
- Lead incident response and incident documentation
- Schedule and implement Quad J testing on compressors
- Schedule and implement LDAR testing on required facilities
- Implement OSHA compliance
- Lead monthly safety meetings at each field office
- Provide guidance and training to company personnel as required and as recommended by industry best practices
- B.S. in Health & Safety or related Science Discipline.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, RRC, TCEQ, BSEE and USCG requirements such as (SPCC, Emergency Response Plan, etc.)
- Strong leadership and organization skills, with the ability to achieve priorities, goals and strategies with limited supervision
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to appropriately target communication to intended audience, from field environment to Sr. Management.
- Proficient knowledge of computer software (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
East Texas operations includes the following counties: Madison, Leon, Houston, Trinity, Burleson, Grimes, Brazos and Walker only. South Texas operations includes the following counties: Atascosa, Frio, Dewitt, Dimitt, and San Patricio
