Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator

Job Summary:

YATAI Fabrication Solutions is seeking a Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to oversee workplace safety, environmental compliance, and equipment maintenance. This role is responsible for managing water and waste disposal, production safety, fire safety, hazardous materials handling, labor safety, and facility security. Additionally, this position includes overseeing overhead crane and air compressor maintenance and coordinating repairs in case of equipment failures.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor labor safety, ensuring employees adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Enforce workplace safety standards, conducting inspections and risk assessments.

Handle workplace injuries by leading employees to urgent care, documenting incidents, and ensuring proper follow-up for workers' compensation.

Oversee water and waste management to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Maintain records of maintenance schedules, inspections, and safety compliance.

Perform routine maintenance and servicing of overhead cranes and air compressors.

Respond to equipment failures and breakdowns, coordinating necessary repairs.

Supervise facility opening and closing procedures, ensuring security and safety compliance.

Implement and maintain fire safety measures, ensuring all equipment is functional.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience in EHS management and equipment maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazardous materials handling, and fire safety protocols.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to emergencies efficiently.

Responsible, detail-oriented, and a team player.

Must be able to use personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Bilingual in Mandarin and/or Spanish is a plus.
