Position Summary:
STAR Turbine is seeking a full-time Entry Level Engineering Assistant to join our team as part of the STAR Academy program. This position offers hands-on experience in engineering and technical documentation within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
The Engineering Assistant will work closely with the Engineering Department to support the creation, revision, and management of technical documents essential to manufacturing operations. This includes the development and modification of Prints, Cut Lists, and other technical documentation as required. Additional responsibilities include managing drawing revisions, interpreting supplied data to generate accurate prints, and assisting with various engineering tasks throughout the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Functional
•Drawing production and modification from supplied data using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
•Creation and completion of job packets for manufacturing, including cut lists, travelers, routers, and other required documentation.
•Management and organization of engineering data, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
•Collaboration with Procurement to support material source and specifications.
•Coordination with the Sales Team to provide product cost estimates and material requirements for quoting.
•Support for the Installation Crew by supplying accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
•Maintenance of the engineering database to ensure data integrity across systems.
•Cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, and Sales teams to support engineering projects.
•Participation in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for production issues.

Experience Requirements
•Technical or Manufacturing Knowledge
•Blueprint reading or Ability to interpret drawings and material specifications
•A strong understanding of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
•CAD software experience, ideally SolidWorks
•Vocational or associate degree in a related field, or a minimum of 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience (or a combination of both).
Physical Requirements
•Must be able to lift and manipulate 25lbs on an occasional basis
•Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
•Must be able to frequently bend, stoop
