Our Technology Center is home to a team of globally recognized engineers and scientists who provide innovative mining, processing and environmental solutions to our operations throughout the world. - Review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects.

- Serve as Project Manager or Technical Advisor, on small-to-medium site construction, expansion or modification projects.

- Evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.

- Collaborate in site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areas.

- Assist in the development and evaluation of Appropriation Request (AR) for capital funding.

- Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring To Freeport

- High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of Engineering experience, OR

- Bachelor's degree in a Scientific discipline and three (3) years of Engineering experience

- Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.

- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.

- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications

- Five (5) years of Geomechanical/Geotechnical experience

- Willingness/ability to travel up to 50% of the time
