RESPONSIBILITIES
•Manage Aircraft Certification Projects, including: project management, vendor/customer communications, testing programs, and preparation of required technical reports.
•Review and approve Engineering data such as technical reports, design drawings, engineering instructions, etc.
•Mentor Jr. staff and oversee staff training priorities
•Develop engineering solutions for repairs & modifications of aircraft and clean power generation technologies including: component & system conceptual design, 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, technical instructions, and engineering specifications.
•Perform multi-disciplinary analysis of systems and components. This may include simulations for static stress, dynamics, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, electrical systems, and air/fluid systems.
•Develop / introduce internal design standards and processes
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
•B.Eng or M.Eng Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with Minimum 10 years experience
•P.Eng License (or equivalent) is required.
•Proven track record leading organizational excellence initiatives and/or new product development.
•Understanding of engineering drawing standards, including GD&T, and experience with design for assembly/manufacturing.
•Subject matter expertise in at least one area of aerospace specialization (Load Analysis, Structural / Fatigue Evaluation, Composites, Avionics, EWIS, Powerplant Installation, etc.).
•Hands on experience with Aircraft Certification projects.
•One or more additional certifications such as PMP, CQE, CQM, SSBB, etc.
